The Business Challenge: creating a website refresh for a 30+ year-old cleaning company based in Bowie, Maryland.
Home cleaning companies come and go because of missteps, employee turnover and economic downturns so the when Crystal Cleaning needed a makeover it had to rank locally, generate strong leads and establish its brand in a modern, crowded, competitive market.
Trust is a huge concern when a homeowner employs a cleaning company because of the full access the company has to the customer’s home. Trust was number 1 on the list of feelings necessary to communicate with the design. The color scheme was designed to feel “clean” while communicating “professional” as professionalism is a cousin of trust. We also felt that communicating the process would add trustworthy transparency as well.
Cleaning customer leads may come as a gift from a family member, preparation for a party or simply to save time to get a clean home. Crystal’s website visitors needed to clearly understand the options and flexibility available to them.
Finally, the value proposition, “Try our custom home cleaning service and regain part of your life”. Recognizing that time was the biggest value a cleaning company can offer was key in the messaging throughout the site.
