Why this blog?
As a first generation entrepreneur I’ve encountered an extremely wide range of challenges (almost daily) as I march on my road to my grand vision. This quest has become the most challenging, rewarding, frustrating and inspiring element in my life and I have, like most entrepreneurs, spent the better part of my waking hours doing everything possible to perfect it.
My family has been incredibly supportive and inspirational and without them I surely would not have gotten this far but without an entrepreneur mentor in the family the road has been much more difficult.
I have had the good fortune of befriending a group of local entrepreneurs with similar challenges and goals. We our happy hours and golf outings sharing our problems and brainstorming solutions with the focus of helping each other to success. The sharing of our knowledge with my peers has been key in my business and personal progress. I shutter to wonder where this information would possibly have come from were it not for our little community. Because I understand how difficult and taxing this road can be I thought it necessary to share my (our) information to the greater entrepreneurial community with the hopes of cultivating new relationships and innovative approaches to the same old challenges. And in light of this current recession, perhaps guidance for those contemplating the leap.
I did search for an entrepreneurs blogs before starting this one but didn’t exactly find what I was looking for. Entrepreneurial guidance from other entrepreneurs. So in the true spirit of entrepreneurship I created my own blog.
I look forward to sharing my entrepreneur ‘brain trust’ discussions and guidance with the hope that it will rally a larger community of entrepreneurs that will in-turn contribute their obstacles and solutions.
